Want to help Mt Carmel Brewing?

August 24th and August 25th are going to be busy days for Mt Carmel Brewing. Their beers will be on tap at Taste of Blueash, Dayton Ale Fest, and the Cincinnati Brew Ha Ha. They are looking for a few good volunteers to help man the beer booths. If you are interested, please contact Mike Dewey (mike@mtcarmelbrewingcompany.com).

West Side Bloatarian Board Meeting Tonight

Tonight the Bloatarian Board meeting will be held at the home of John Zeller. If you are a member of the club, please feel free to stop by and witness inner workings of this well lubricated machine. Directions and contact information are in the newsletter.

Beer and Sweat Entry Deadline is WEDNESDAY!

Saturday August 18th is almost here! Are your kegs ready? Check the website for detailed information regarding entries, judging, stewarding, and volunteering. We need people to help out with this huge competition. If you are interested in volunteering to take a shift at the Registration Table or Raffle Booth, please contact Jennifer (bathingotis@yahoo.com).

If have not already booked your room for Saturday night, please HURRY UP and do it! Not only will it guarantee you a safe trip home to your hotel room, but booking a minimum number of rooms at the hotel helps offset the cost of the banquet and judging facilities. Standard rooms (single or double) are $69 per night; standard rooms (triple or quad) are $79 per night. All rooms are subject to occupancy tax, of course. Call (800) 354-9793 and ask for the "Beer and Sweat" room rate at.

For you early arrivals, there is limited space available to join a beer dinner across the street at Oriental Wok, http://www.orientalwok.com/ on Friday evening. There are just 20 seats available, so this will be set up on a first come-reservations required basis. The cost will be about $40 per person. The dinner will be family style and will include at least 4 beers. The time is yet to be determined, but will certainly be after 7pm. Email your interest to Jennifer (bathingotis@yahoo.com)! This beer dinner is limited to just 20 people, but you are certainly welcome to have dinner at the restaurant! This restaurant and their chefs are highly recommended!
