Thursday, March 1, 2007 marks the 153-year anniversary of the day that Christian Moerlein brewed his first barrel of Moerlein beer. March 1st is also one day before Bockfest 2007 officially begins. The Brewery District Urban Redevelopment Corp. is celebrating this anniversary and kicking off the Bockfest weekend by hosting the first-annual "Bock and Brats Cincinnati Beer Toast" on Fountain Square. Toasts will be telecast on the jumbo screen above the Square. Celebrity judges will determine the best toast and award an engraved plaque to the "Bockfest Toastmaster." The subject of the toast is loosely defined as one honoring bock beer, Bockfest, Christian Moerlein, or the importance of beer to Cincinnatians. Visit www.bockfest.com for more details. Hope to see you there! Please forward this e-mail to anybody who you think might be interested in attending or giving a toast. Sign up at the event while spaces last.

WHAT: Bock and Brats Cincinnati Beer Toast.
WHERE: Cincinnati's Fountain Square, 5th and Vine.
