Ray- Everything I've read says its a higher alpha version of Saaz with the same aroma character. I think I'd try a Bohemian Pils just to see what you get. (normally brewed with straight Saaz - good for the comparison) But considering the time of year....
It would probably work well in other Continental styles such as Bocks, and we're certainly at the correct time of year to get our bocks brewing...
Belgian styles typically used continental hops as well such as Styrian or Hallertauer; considering that such beers usually lack hop flavor and aroma, you'd be safe going just for bittering.
Or go totally gonzo! One pound of 9% alpha hops would make a good 2 or 3 gallons of barleywine.... OK, 2
