The 8th annual Westendorf Spring Party, christened "Beer and Deer," will be held Saturday, May 26th
Originally part of the Bloatarian Group Brew calendar, the party has
grown so big that I no longer have the time to squeeze in abrew session
on the same day! I'll just have to plan for it being a day for reducing
my inventory, instead of increasing it.
Beer and Deer is our
celebration of the coming of summer. We'll fire up the smoker, the
grill, and the deep fryer, all at the same time. While the menu is not
yet firm, it will definitely include Roxanne's famous juniper berry
smoked brisket, grilled polenta, and deep fried cheesecake rolls. Oh,
and there might be a homebrew or two available. You don'tneed to bring
anything, but side dishes and kegs are welcome (bottles too.) The party
gets underway at 2:00, with the main portion of the food planned for
4:00. We hope to see you there!
