German Day is the main fundraising event of the German American Citizens League (GACL), of which the BBL is a member. Each year the BBL helps sponsor German Day, if the form of donating prizesto be used for the raffle. Our donations have come to be some of the most prized of the many
raffle items! We’re again asking for your help in preparing our donation. We fill baskets with
beer! Unfortunately, the law prevents us from giving homebrew, so we’re asking you to donate
a couple bottles of your favorite commercial beers. We’ll sort these into a number of baskets,
and throw a Bloatarian tasting glass in as well.

Please bring your donation to the May meeting/Bloatarian Open (May 19th), or
the May Board meeting (May 7th). You can also drop off your bottles at Listermann's
(Chuck requests you bring an extra bottle for him!)

Please consider including German Day in your entertainment plans. Hofbrauhaus generously
donates 10% of all sales for the day to the GACL. You can also purchase raffle tickets to
have a shot at not only the Bloatarian baskets, but about 30 other prizes as well, including the
Grand Prize of a $1000 gift certificate to Furniture Fair. If you can’t attend on the 3rd, raffle
tickets will also be available at the May meeting. (You do not need to be present to win.) At
