Jamie Kite, one of our newest members, and his wife Laura have graciously offered the use of their home for our Holiday Party, Saturday, January 5th. Ray and I went to check out the space and quickly decided that it would be fantastic to be able to take advantage of the space that is available there. We will discuss the possibilities of gathering at the aptly named “Treehouse” for future monthly meetings at the Board Meeting on the following Monday.

There is space enough for 50-60 easily and comfortably. The Treehouse will be able to seat at least 20 naturally. If you have folding chairs or other types of easily carried seating, then it would behoove you to bring it along. The kitchen is part of this space, so don’t be afraid to bring dishes that need to be warmed!

There is very little parking directly on their street, but there should be ample parking on the street just before theirs. The walk is not much longer than it is from parking at Mecklenburg’s. Please see directions below or check the address online.

The party will start around 6pm with a potluck style dinner. Please bring a dish to share. Please bring along your homebrews and festive ales and anything else that you would like to share with your fellow Bloats. The 750ml Bottle exchange will occur sometime after dinner. All you need is a gift wrapped bottle to participate!

By this time, if you had not yet dropped off your donations at Listermann’s for Mecklenburg’s gift basket, you should bring them to the party. This will be your last chance to donate to our gift! The Board will deliver the basket(s) the following Monday (Jan. 7th) directly to Mecklenburg’s who will host the Board’s first meeting of the year
